    Bake Well Indeed.

It's not big, it's not beautiful and there's a note to remind the staff to speak English, but in a world of Pret and its suited lunchtime clones Little Nona serves up freshly prepared Italian fodder, beautiful homemade cakes and fantastically smooth coffee.

Apple pie and raspberry bakewell, both satisfied and were pleasingly priced and the coffee went down with too much ease.  I just wish we hadn't grabbed a panini at Eat around the corner because the Panini's here looked the biz and I can see me popping in for spaghetti soon...

I'd previously reviewed here and given it a three and was overly critical of their microwaves. Well, I've eaten here a few more times since and realised the errors of my ways - it's good. Other restaurants wish they could cook as well with stoves as Capsicum can with a microwave.

Today I had the chicken scallopini with a pizzeta sauce, served with rice. Firstly, I don't know how they crammed all that food into a little tub, and secondly... it was awesome. Just so darned tasty. I'd been meaning to try that for a while, but their ever changing array of pasta dishes have been distracting me away from it before. I recently had a really good penne bolognaise from here too which had plenty of meat sauce on it.

So next up - I have to try their lasagne, and their fist sized arrancini. Oh, and avoid dropping the food down my shirt before I have to head into a meeting... but that's another story...

I'm not a huge fan of this place. It does do some things right: it has a pleasant interior and a good range of items you'd normally find in a delicatessen. It has reasonable food and a few tables to sit at, including a few outside. But the unjustifiably high prices left a bitter taste in my mouth and I found the service, particularly from the owner, to be a little surly. Not somewhere I'd go back to in a hurry given the excellent eateries very close by.
